Free Teacher Assistant Training for Residents

Do you know parents that want to work, but have school-age children? Maybe they are already working in a daycare or in the school cafeteria. Help them take the next step in their career with FREE training! We are continuing to recruit for the 2-gen program at Booker T. Washington which starts Feb 5th. This is para-educator (teacher assistant) certification through ACC and CPR for parents with children ages 5-12. The children will be receiving STEM programing and other activities while their parents are in class. Requirements: attendees must have their HS diploma or GED by January 31, 2020, in order to participate. This is an ACC requirement. FYI- para-educators will not get hired without their HS. Diploma or GED. Please note: Basic English skills in writing, reading, and speaking are also required to be successful in the course. Fluency in another language is a plus!
